Multi-Modal Memory Method
Here is a memory technique used by the
imperial scholars in ancient China who were required to memorize
entire volumes of the classics for their exams.
They would write out the lines from
their text , while reading aloud in a rhythmical fashion and
swaying their bodies in time. This effectively engages their
visual, audio and kinesthetic modalities, and the rhythmical
nature of the reading and swaying causes the impression to deepen.
Zheng, from Singapore
I am happy to get a new memory technique. I will try it out,
and I encourage those readers who try it to let me know what
kind of results you get. Thank you Zheng, and I hope that you
like the prize.
In order to get the newsletter put together and have this
page up before that, I have to pick a winner just two or three
days after each newsletter. However, if you sent any ideas in
later, I may use them for the following weeks.
