For Clarity of Mind
The key to this is to do everything
in moderation.
1) Have a balanced diet e.g. sufficient
carbohydrate, protein, fats, fruit and vegetables and fluids.
On top of this take supplements such
as omega-3/cod liver oil, other omega oils and ginkgo biloba.
IF you drink alcohol regularly then
reduce your consumption, but a little everyday helps your mind
to relax. Nicotine is good for you in small quantities but the
other things in cigarettes are harmful. Infrequently chewing
nicotine gum gets past this problem and can help to think more
clearly and positively.
2) Get enough sleep; too much will make
you drowsy and too little will affect concentration
3) If you spend too much time looking
at a computer screen this can effect your vision so limit the
amount of time you spend on a computer, playing computer games
or watching TV.
4) Take 20 minutes during the day to
relax, with ear plugs and a blindfold. This will allow you to
concentrate on your thoughts and when the ear plugs and blindfold
are removed your vision and hearing will be sharper and more
sensitive.
Benson
Good tips, Benson. As for the diet part, my wife and I have
been trying the cheese and walnuts idea that Vahid suggested
(winner #3). It seems to work. At the very least, it is helpful
for those of us that get a bit of brain fog with too many carbohydrates.
I may try ear plugs and a blindfold as you suggest. I do know
that laying back in a dark room and listening to a brainwave
entrainment CD sure clears my mind. Thank you, and I hope that
you like the prize.
Note: In order to get the newsletter put together and have
this page up before that, I have to pick a winner just two or
three days after each newsletter. However, if you sent any ideas
in later, I may use them for the following weeks.
